Occupy America is a bimonthly, issue based news publication. The publication’s focus is on producing working-class news that interrogates class and other forms of oppression. The goal of the publication is to foster a national discussion about who we are, what we want, and how we plan to get it. All points of view are welcome, and different issues do not have to agree with one another.
Occupy America seeks to present facts objectively, but not neutrally. We prefer to take the perspective that favors the interests of working Americans, rather than mainstream newspapers, which often report from the perspective of upper-middle class urban consumers who, it is supposed, play the stock market and have complex finances.
Each issue organizes around a different theme.
